Medusa Texas
Team Medusa Texas is a year-round team made up of the most competitive athletes from around the state of Texas. As the flagship girls’ program under the Arete Sport banner, Medusa provides opportunities at both the national and regional levels.
Members of Medusa Texas are joining a community and network nationwide. Players will be surrounded by coaches, staff, parents, and athletes sharing a common goal; Creating an environment fostering the opportunity to be the best you can be on and off the field.
Social, practice and game experiences are programmed and executed for the athlete’s overall success.
Development Strategy
Medusa Texas coaches are passionate about the game of lacrosse and will create practices
that develop athletes’ individual skills, promote a team-first atmosphere, and strive toward championships.
Leveraging the Arete network of teams and coaches, Medusa Texas coaches will have access to the games' best minds. With these resources, our coaches will be able to provide additional at-home training programs for players.
Game Strategy
Medusa Texas utilizes offensive and defensive concepts that allow our athletes to be best positioned for team success as well as individual growth. We execute an exciting offense that allows for creativity and showcasing skills complemented by an aggressive defense.
Tournament Strategy
Medusa Texas plays in regional tournaments in the Fall, Winter, and Summer seasons. Families can expect three tournaments in the fall/winter and three in the summer. Some Medusa Texas players will also have the opportunity to compete in additional tournaments with Medusa National.
